Selendi is a boutique winery north of Izmir, where a warm Mediterranean climate prevails.

 The owner Akin Öngör is famous in Turkey, since he was the boss of a bank until 2000. He then retired at the age of 55 and devoted himself to his hobby winemaking.

He eventual bought land around Akhisar in the Aegean region, hired French and Italian oenological consultants to build his winery Selendi. He was the first to produce organic wines in Turkey.

 But the hobby however turned into a succellfuill operating company. Akin Öngör's daughter now runs the production on site while exanding the vineyards from the original 1.5 hectares to over 20.

Sarnic Cabernet 2013
Deep ruby red color. A harmonic scent of chocolate and dark berries with hints of tobacco in the nose. Full-bodied on the palate with a long-enduring taste of dark fruits followed by subtle tannins.
Sarnic Merlot 2013
Ruby red color. An elegant aroma of raspberries and pepper with hints of tobacco in the nose. Well-balanced and round on the palate with a full-bodied taste of red fruits and soft tannins.
Sarnic Shiraz 2012
Deep ruby colour. An elegant wine with complex aromas of violet, chocolate and tobacco in the nose. The palate is well-balanced and full-bodied with soft tannins and dark fruit aromas.
