Winery Gehrig from the Palatinate

Winery Gehrig from the Palatinate
Weisenheim am Sand is an idyllic village in the heart of the Palatinate and widely surrounded by vineyards.
Warm climate in Weisenheim
The almost Mediterranean climate of the Rhine plain and the quietness of the region were the main reasons why the ancestors of family Gehrig settled here. They quickly saw the opportunity of the great soil and began to grow vines since the middle of the last century. In 1995 Rainer Gehrig inheritaed the 13 hectare vineyards i order to make wines.
Today Gehrig is a renowned and traditional winery focused on excellent taste and high quality. The combination of modern cellar technology with traditional methods enables them to produce the finest wines. Red and white wine varieties grow under almost ideal conditions thanks to the diversity of Weisenheim's soil structure.
