About the cultivation and vinification
The winemaker insists on picking the grapes by hand and selecting them strictly according to guidelines. Then they ferment in stainless steel tanks before aging for at least 12 months in french oak barrels. During this time, the wine is carefully monitored and regularly analysed.
In addition, the Lebanese winery Chateau Musar is also proud of its artisanal approach. This is achieved primarily through the team's experience and dedication. The result is an exceptional selection of wines that enchant wine lovers all around the world. Furthermore, the winemaker also produces an excellent anise schnapps called Arack Musar.
Last but not least, the Hochar family has won numerous awards and prizes over the years. One of the most notable was the Decanter Man of the Year award for the legendary winemaker Serge Hochar in 1984 an award that recognizes excellence in the wine industry. It was given to him for his major role in promoting and developing the wine industry in Lebanon.
