Arak Brun 5 Special Reserve is a real speciality among arac drinkers and is made from the alcohol of the Oebidi grape. The Schnapps was named after François-Eugène Brun, who first produced it in 1868. This brandy is now one of the most famous arak varieties in the world. Today, it is distilled in the hundred-year-old cellar of Domaine des Tourelles and traditionally processed in a three-stage distillation with aniseed. The winery also grows their own aniseed in Deir el Ahmar in order to constantly control and optimize the quality. Last but not least, Brun 5 is one of the few arak varieties which mature for five years in clay jugs to develop a taste that is both smooth and elegant. A must for arak freaks!
