Domaine des Tourelles has been in existence since 1868 and is one of the oldest in Lebanon! It was the French engineer François-Eugène Brun who planted the vineyard in the Bekaa valley in order to take advantage of the ideal weather conditions. Now the winery is managed and operated by Faouzi Issa. He was also the one who created this entry level line (Domaine des Tourelles white, rose and red) and planted about 40 hectares of vines.
Here again, the vineyards are located at an altitude of 1050 meters above sea level. The vines are irrigated by snowmelt and grow on clay and limestone soils. In addition, the mountain ranges protect the grapes from winds from the Mediterranean sea and the desert. Thus, a perfect microclimate! Otherwise, the grapes are hand-picked and enjoy short distances to the winery. There they are then fermented with indigenous yeast (vegan).
