Eraz Rose from the winemaker Latourba is a fruity as well as fresh rosé from Lebanon with a pale salmon rose color.
First, a fruity scent of caramel, cherries and strawberries rushes into the nose. This is then followed by hints of raspberries. A really nice bouquet, which tempts to drink! And accordingly, the Eraz Rose is a seductive rose from Lebanon!
But now lets talk about the taste. First, the wine presents itself intense, full-bodied and fresh on the palate. Then the subsequent aromas of strawberries and raspberries dominate the fresh but also crisp taste. The pleasant acidity supports both the freshness and the fullness of this wine. Last but not least, harmonious aromas of watermelon and blackberries close and round up the Eraz Rose all the way to the finish.
A versatile and playful spectacle that is ideal with salads, cold appetizers, spicy seafood such as octopus or even white meat. Of course, this wine is also suitable for a barbecue or a cozy summer evening.
Like the other two siblings Eraz White and Red, the vines of this wine grow in the west of the Bekaa Plain. There are the perfect conditions to produce high quality grapes for wine but also other drinks like arak. On the one hand, the winter covers the vines with snow for three months. On the other hand, the bright mountain ranges provide additional reflections of the sun's rays. This highly influences the aromas, especially since there are numerous hours of sunshine.
The soils consist of clay as well as lime and are irrigated by the annual snowmelt. The Romans tent to say that Lebanon and its Bekaa Valley were among the best viniculture areas of their empire. Especially since almost everything grows there.
In the cellar, Latourba tries to work rather minimalist. Mainly to highlight the soils and climate. Accordingly, these three wines are indeed among the signature of this wine culture and region.
